•  Buzz cut. One of the simplest haircuts possible, a buzz cut gets all your hair to the same length. You can get it as short or long as you want. Choose from various grades such as #1 guard, which is the shortest, or #2 or #3 guards, which are longer.
• Crew cut. A crew cut works in a manner similar to a buzz cut, but instead of one uniform length, you get hair of two different lengths. The top is longer than the sides.
• Taper fade. A taper fade haircut makes your hair longest on top. It gradually becomes shorter until it reaches the skin. The stylist uses clippers of various lengths.
• Pompadour.  This haircut from the 1950s focuses on longer hair that is slicked back with gel or mousse. You can keep the sides long or shorten the sides if you desire.
